SPAR supermarket

SPAR AG is a 100% privately-owned Austrian company. The stocks of the corporation are found predominantly in the possession of those families who joined in with their firms to form the corporation in 1970. The shares are not traded on the stock market.

SPAR Austria’s core business is the wholesale and retail trade market with the food and non-food staples of daily life. In sales, SPAR operates with a two-fold market cultivation: besides SPAR’s own branches, approximately half of the SPAR markets today are run by independent SPAR retailers. SPAR interacts with them as their wholesale partner.
