On World Food Day, 16 October 2020, SPAR Slovenia together with Chef Marko Pavčnik dedicated a very special project to a special occasion. In Slovenia, 68 kg of food per person per year goes in the trash. Marko Pavčnik bought 68 kg of food products in an INTERSPAR Hypermarket and turned it into excellent dishes. The result: Together with pupils from the vocational school for gastronomy and tourism in Maribor, he conjured up 257 high-quality dishes from 68 kg of food!
SPAR Slovenia also donated 100 food packages to socially deprived families.
